A Floral Dress

Guess what day it is today? Friday!! And also a new blog post, so double the happiness. :)

It's officially summer and during this time, all I wear are skirts, shorts, and dresses. The dress that I'm wearing today is a floral panel one from Keepsake. I love anything with a panel design because it is really flattering and accentuates the hourglass figure. To complete the outfit, I wore a pendant necklace from BaubleBar and my new Schutz sandals (which were also featured on my last post, but that's how much I <3 them). I didn't want to wear a statement necklace with this dress because I really wanted the floral design to shine through.

Black and White: The Perfect Combination

Hello my fellow fashion lovers <3! I hope you guys had a fabulous weekend.

Today's outfit is my opinion on why black and white are the perfect combination to wear. There are so many reasons why everyone resorts to wearing black and white but let me give you my top three.
1. The colors look flattering on every single person, no matter what size, sex, height, color, shape you might be.
2. Black and white goes with everything.
3. The colors together look chic and classy.

I paired my beloved black crop top with this stylish, black and white asymmetric skirt. The reason this skirt grabbed my attention was the side split that exposed the mini skirt hidden underneath. The only thing that was not black or white for this look were my chocolate bangles. The chocolate brown color is dark enough that it goes well with the outfit. My black sandals are from Schutz, a Brazilian company, and have teardrop-shaped loops, which I love as a design.  It was sunny today, so I grabbed my favorite sunglasses, my Ran-Ban aviators, which no one can go wrong with and never go out of style.

LBD (Little Black Dress)

Today is a special day for me as it is my anniversary with the boyfriend. To celebrate this occasion, I wanted today's look to be dressy as an inspiration for anyone out there who will be celebrating this weekend or anytime in the future.

LBDs, also known as little black dresses, are a girl's best friend. Every girl should have at least one and/or needs one in her wardrobe collection. LBDs come in a variety of styles, from the iconic little black dress, to a knee length black dress, to a long, formal, fancy black gown. The LBD that I'm wearing today is the classic little black dress. My favorite detail is the lace that is on this dress. The lace makes the dress look feminine with a touch of sexiness for a wow factor. I wore only my blue drop earrings as I wanted to keep my accessories to a minimum to make the dress be the "it piece" of the outfit. To complete this look, I used my blue and white color block clutch from Henri Bendel, and my favorite ankle-strap black pumps from Jeffrey Campbell. Hope you guys enjoy this look!

A Moto Jacket and Leopard Pumps

Heeeyyy guys. Sorry about not posting yesterday. But I'm making up for it by posting today. :)

I cannot get enough of moto jackets and was on the hunt for one that I could wear during the spring and cool summer nights. When I saw this one at Nordstrom, it grabbed my attention immediately. I love the light beige color and the fact that it was not thick, like a lot of moto jackets out there. I decided to wear this moto jacket with my black high waisted shorts and white cami. The pink and blue earrings are a statement piece and so beautiful. My black handbag, designed by my friend Justen, is my favorite to wear right now because it goes with everything and fits so much! I don't normally wear anything with leopard, because I feel like leopard can be overdone sometimes. But these leopard print shoes were perfect because it wasn't overdone. My favorite detail about these shoes are the red heels! The red heels add a little sass to the shoes.

A Touch of Pink

Happy Friday everyone! I hope y'all had a fabulous week. Don't forget Sunday is Father's Day so make sure to do something extra nice for your dad this weekend!

I am obsessed with today's outfit. I like wearing stripes but sometimes have a difficult time finding a stripe top that looks flattering. Stripes can be unforgiving sometimes, but when you find the right stripe top, it makes all the difference in the world.  I like how the stripes on the top that I'm wearing are not too thin. My favorite piece of clothing from this outfit is the skirt. I got this skirt last year on SALE (for over 50% off) at Anthropologie and when I saw it, I knew it was meant to be. The delicate silk tabs that are over the skirt makes it look so feminine. I can't say enough about the skirt as it is even more gorgeous in person. I wore my nude pointed pumps and a gold statement necklace. To add a touch of color to the outfit, I wore my Henri Bendel black and gold clutch, which has a chain that I decided to wear over the shoulder. The best thing about this clutch, is that it has slots within where you can put your cards. It's like a wallet with a string  attached!

Necessary Objects Stripe Top: Bought this at the Bloomingdale's outlet, but this ONE from Forever 21 is similar. For a splurge option, this ONE from ASOS is also similar

Anthropologie Skirt: Sold out online, but this ONE from Alice + Olivia is similar (Plus it's on sale for over 50% off!)

Enzo Angiolini Pointed Nude Pumps: Sold out online, but THESE, by Topshop are similar

A Maxi Day at the Park

I'll be honest, I don't wear maxi dresses often and only own a few but when I saw the below featured maxi dress, I fell in love with it all over again. The navy blue, maxi dress has a high low hem to it with a tulip cut at the front. I love how it is not long all around. I wore a black, skinny belt around my waist to give it a tighter fit since the dress is a little big on me. My necklace is a cute gold and teal color that has an Egyptian feel to it.
I love love love the purse that I am carrying today. It is black leather tote that was designed by my friend Justen Hannah. The bag is very spacious with an elegant and timeless design. I'll link his website below so you guys can check out his website and handbag. Last, but not least, I'm wearing my favorite Sam Edelman studded, ankle-strap sandals.

One Month Anniversary

Hello everyone and TGIF!

Before I go into details of today's outfit, I want to give a huge THANK YOU to my friend, Mary, for taking today's blog post pictures. These pictures came out a lot better than we expected and we had so much fun doing it. Once again, thanks Mary for being the photographer today <3.

As you guys know by now, I love wearing white. So as I was choosing an outfit for today, I thought why not wear a white dress and that's exactly what I did. The dress is a fit and flare style with an open back that has a crisscross design. It is such a beautiful dress that I wanted to keep the accessories to a minimum, wearing only a blue floral Kate Spade necklace. My shoes are a classic black pointed pumps with a twist in that they have an ankle strap, which are on trend right now.

Ivy & Blu Dress: Sold out online at Neiman Marcus, but this ONE by Ali Ro is similar (the crisscross design is interpreted to the front of the dress)

Kate Spade Necklace: Bough this last year but this ONE, also from Kate Spade, is very similar

Tomorrow will mark the one month anniversary since the first post of this blog and I wanted to say" thank you thank you thank you" to everyone who as read and visited the site. I hope that you guys have liked what  I've put up so far. I have had a lot of fun working on the blog and I couldn't have done any of it without any of you. So a million and one hugs to everyone and thank you once again!

Finding Something That I'm Passionate About

This past week has been a difficult one for me as many questioned my direction in life and no one understood my passion for fashion. As a child, I never knew what I wanted to do when I "grew up". One day I wanted to be a teacher, and the next I wanted to be a dentist. I even thought about being a historian since I loved studying history in school. When it was time for me to go to college and pick a major, that was a difficult decision for me as I was still on the fence about which field to enter. I never thought about choosing a career that had to do with fashion and beauty. My interest in clothes didn't began til I was a junior or senior on high school but within the past year, the interest peaked and I wanted to be a part of the beauty and fashion world. I got my degree in Finance and had a good, stable job but I knew in my heart that it wasn't something that I wanted to do forever. One of the main reasons I started this blog was to follow my dreams and show and encourage fellow dreamers that it is possible to pursue something that is not on the path that everyone else wants you to take. Follow your heart and choose the path that you wish to go on. There will be many ups and downs but as long as you work hard and never give up on your vision, something good is bound to come.

Today's outfit is very casual. I love wearing shorts when it's hot (and believe me when I say IT IS HOT) outside. My favorite part of this outfit are the shorts. The shorts are a gorgeous mint blue color with a split front that is created by two flaps on both sides. This gives the shorts such a modern twist to it. My navy top is from Francesca's. It looks plain from the front but it's a party on the back. It has an open back that has two horizontal bars which shows helps the top from not exposing too much skin. The necklace is purple with rectangular and circular shapes that I got last year from Ann Taylor. My shoes, from Sam Edelman, are my favorite sandals to wear right now. I love the criss cross design that the shoes give to the back of the feet. Plus, they are super comfortable to wear!

I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post. Always remember to never give up on your dreams and go for it.
