How I Style a Skater Skirt

Skater skirts are a staple in every girl's closet. They are versatile and can be worn in so many different ways, either casual or dressed up.

The skater skirt that I'm wearing in today's blog post is from H&M. I love the color of the skirt, which is hot pink, but it's not as bright as a lot of neon clothes tend to be. I also wore a JOA mesh windowpane top to go with the skirt. I can not even describe how obsessed I am with this top. The windowpane design makes the shirt unique and beautiful. My shoes are nude pointed pumps. I love nude pumps because they go with almost every outfit and are so classic. I kept the accessories simple, in order to make the top the star of the outfit, with flower earrings studs and a pink and silver bangle.

Looking Cute in an Asymmetric Skirt

 Happy Tuesday everyone!

For today's outfit, I decided to put on an asymmetric skirt with an Aztec print. Asymmetric skirts, like the one I'm wearing today, are the latest trend for this season. They have such a unique cut to them and look flattering on everyone. I wore a white cami with the skirt, along with a mint necklace and teal sandals with an ankle strap and semi-chunky cork heels. I LOVE this outfit so much! It is very springy and perfect for any occasion!

Fringe Crop Top

Happy Friday everyone! Today, I thought I would put together an outfit that could be used for a night out on the town for this weekend.

I love wearing crop tops but don't like to show too much skin when I do. To solve this situation, I tend to wear bottoms that are high waisted so that not too much of the stomach is exposed. I love these black, high waisted, shorts from Express. My black crop top is from BCBGeneration and I can't get over the fringe detailing. I have such a ball twirling around while wearing this top! To add a pop of color to this outfit, I wore my blue, studded pumps. These are one of my favorite pair of shoes as they go well with any outfit and are super comfortable to wear. To finish the outfit, I wore gold teardrop earrings, a purple and gold studded bangle, and a black and gold bracelet.

Another Jumpsuit Kind of Day

Hi I'm Alli and I have an obsession. Yes, an obsession to jumpsuits. I can't resist them! (hahaha)

Today, I decided to wear this gorgeous coral, pink jumpsuit from Dailylook, which I got a couple months back. The jumpsuit might look plain from the front, but it is a party from the back. It features an open back with a sheer lace detail on the upper half of the back. There are two side pockets on the front, which makes me love the jumpsuit even more. I also wore a blue floral necklace from Kate Spade, which I got during a sale last year and my nude Sam Edelman wedges to complete the outfit.

An Outfit To Match A Beautiful Day

We all have one of those days where we want to dress up and go outside to play. And today was my day to do exactly just that!

For today's look, I wanted something that was cute and dressy. I wore a black crop top from the brand Green Envelope Los Angeles, which I got from Lord and Taylor. My favorite thing about this crop top is the v-neck cut that it has to it.  I paired the crop top with a midi skirt from DailyLook. Surprise surprise, I'm wearing another item from DailyLook. I really like the clothes that DailyLook has! Everything on the website is on trend, and most importantly, affordable. The midi skirt is this gorgeous blue, periwinkle color with a floral design. I love the sheer overlay design that the skirt has because it doesn't make me hot as I'm wearing it. My accessories for this outfit are fringe earrings, which makes the look a little dressy, and one of my favorite bangles from Henri Bendel. Last, but not least, I wore a pair of nude suede pumps from French Connection.

Crazy Texas Weather

Texas is known for its scorching heat during the summer and last week, that's exactly what we got. The weather was HOT, with temperatures being around 90 degrees. But ever since yesterday, the weather took a turn and there was heavy rain and it was chilly outside. When it is cold and raining, I like to wear something comfortable, aka leggings and boots.

To match the weather outside, I decided to put on my favorite pair of pixie pants/leggings from J. Crew. Pixie pants are like leggings but have more structure and are a tiny bit thicker. They are so comfortable to wear and I have them in all the colors (black, blue, and grey). I paired my black pixie pants with a simple black v-neck shirt from Madewell. The thing I like about this shirt is that there is a small pocket at the top on one of the sides. Who doesn't love pockets on clothes! Since, it was chilly outside, I opted for a taupe colored, faux leather jacket from Blank NYC. This jacket isn't too thick, which is perfect for a rainy, spring day, like today. To complete the outfit, I wore Sam Edelman black booties with chevron buckle accents. I LOVE the fact that the boots have the chevron buckle accents, as it adds some character to the shoes. A chevron necklace from The Limited was added at the last minute to match the booties.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful moms out there! I want to thank my mom for all the love, support, and encouragement that she has given me throughout the years. "I love you" does not come close enough to how I feel about my mom and I want her to know that no matter what, I will always be there for her. I love you mom!

I love love love wearing white when the weather starts to heat up. White is very popular during the hotter days because it gives a cooling and refreshing look. For this casual Sunday, I decided to wear a mint and white floral crop top from the brand BNCU, which I got from Nordstrom a few weeks ago, and white jeggings from Dailylook. I completed the look with a white geometric necklace from The Limited and black pointed toe, ankle-strap flats from Sam Edelman. I like wearing a pair of shoes with an ankle strap because it keeps my feet in the shoes when I'm on the go and I don't have to worry about my feet slipping out.

1st Post! A Little Bit About Me and a Romper

Why hello there. I'm Allison but you can call me Alli.
Like a lot of girls out there, I love clothes and putting different outfits together. This is a creative outlet for me and it's something that I enjoy. Spring is here and during the spring and summer time, I love wearing rompers. Rompers, also known as jumpsuits, are versatile, comfortable, and easy to wear. They are perfect for a day out hanging with friends or going on a date with your significant other at night. Below is a picture of blue and white floral romper that I got last year at Anthropologie. The second I tried it on, I knew I had to get it. It has the perfect fit and was so comfortable to wear. I completed this look with a necklace that I bought from Ann Taylor Loft and nude Sam Edelman "Mallory" wedges.
