A Chic Holiday Party Outfit

It snowed for the first time this year last night and I could not have been more excited. The snow only lasted an hour but seeing the snow put me in a festive mood. Christmas is less than forty days away and with that comes many parties and family gatherings. Not sure what outfit to wear to those holiday parties. My favorite, as you all know by now (haha), is a jumpsuit. Pair that jumpsuit with black tights, boots, and put your hair in a top bun, and you'll be the chicest person there!

Today my blog post is all about my new floppy hat that I am currently obsessed with and wear it wayyyy too much. I normally don't like wearing hats, but seeing how floppy hats are such a huge trend this season, I decided to give it a try. I have a big head and hats generally run small on my but this one fits me perfectly.

Leather Jacket Weather

This time of year is known  as "sweater weather" but for me, it is also known as leather jacket weather. Leather jackets make an outfit look very edgy. Leather jacket can be pretty pricy, but one of the things that I love about this jacket from BLACKNYC is that it was under $100! Leather jackets go with any outfit and to make the outfit extra chic, just throw on a pair of boots ad you'll be set for the rest of the day (or night)!

All About a Metallic Skirt

Happy October everyone!! I can't believe how fast this year is flying by!

Recently, I've been all about metallics and anything that has a metallic element to it. I know metallics are more of a spring trend but I believe you can wear metallics during the fall. To make this possible,you have to choose a piece of metallic clothing that has a fall color to it, such as rose gold or silver. And if you are going to wear something metallic, make sure to make that the "star" of your look and go with a solid for the rest of the outfit. For example, if you are going to wear a metallic bottom, such as I have in my outfit, then make sure the top is a nice solid, neutral, color.

My Birthday Outfit

Another year older, another year wiser. This saying is definitely true as it pertains to my sense of style and how it as evolved over the years. Sometimes I look at past pictures and wonder, "What was I thinking???" when I chose a particular outfit. But you never know what works and what doesn't unless you put it on and see yourself in it.

My birthday is in a few days and I thought I would share with you guys what I'll be wearing this weekend for a big celebration. I love dressing up each year on my birthday and this year is no different. Can we just take a few seconds and admire this beautiful, halter neck dress? When I saw the dress, I knew that we were meant to be! Everything from the color, the peek-a-boo cutout at the top of the dress, and the full, taffeta skirt with tulle lining caught my attention. This dress and I will have tons of fun this weekend and hopefully turn a few heads in the process!

How to Wear a Military Jacket (Part 1, Casual Chic)

Military jackets are one of my quintessential pieces of clothing for the fall. They can be dressed up or down and can be worn for any occasion. Since I love military jackets so much; I will be doing a two-part series with this look, one for the daytime and the other for the nighttime. This first look is a casual chic outfit that you could wear while running errands, going to work, or on a shopping date with friends. The outfit is super comfortable and the military jacket provides some warmth during during the colder months. And of course, you can't wear a military jacket without a pair of boots. These brown Chinese Laundry booties provide some height and the chunky heels add the comfort you need while you're running around town in this outfit.

The Obsession Continues

I love shopping online. There are always great deals happening and what makes these great deals even more great are the coupon codes that some shops offer in addition to the marked down prices. While browsing Anthropologie a couple of weeks ago, I noticed this adorable jumpsuit and immediately added to my shopping bag. After reading the reviews on this, I couldn't wait for the jumpsuit to ship, so I did what any other obessed fashionista would do, which is got in my car and drove to the nearest Anthropologie and  purchased it. It was very impulsive but one of my favorite pieces that I've gotten this summer!

A Colorblock Dress

I can't believe how fast summer has flown by. There's only a few more weeks until school starts and then autumn begins which means a season full of cute jackets and boots. Until then, I want to take advantage of this sunny weather and wear as many dresses as possible as dresses are so comfortable to put on. How cute is this colorblock dress that I'm wearing today?! I love the bright blue and pink color combination and how it just screams summer time fun! I finished this look with gold chandelier earrings, stacked bracelets, and my favorite black Schutz sandals.

Wedding Day Outfit

I went to a gorgeous wedding yesterday and thought I would share with you guys my outfit that I wore to the special event. Weddings are one of my favorite events to attend as I love seeing the joy, happiness, and love celebrated between two people and this is what inspired my outfit. My favorite parts about the outfit are the sparkly skirt and shoes to represent the sparkle that is in the couple's eyes when they get married.

Here I Go Again

As many of you guys know, I love love love jumpsuits and cannot resist them!
For me, they are my go to piece of clothing and what I like about them is how easy they are to wear. You never have to worry about finding a top or bottom to match. My favorite detail in this romper is the lace-inset waist. This jumpsuit will get a lot of wear this weekend from a lunch date with the boyfriend to going to the park with my adorable niece to dinner with one of my girlfriends at night!
